Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ssgcomunity ******** Content: ******** Society Of St Grace. Saint Grace Church Saint Grace Friary *+*+*+*+* ABOUT US: *+*+*+*+* ******************* Who was Saint Grace? ******************* Saint Grace was an unmarried lay woman, who was arrested, tortured and martyred for her faith in the persecutions of Diocletian. She had her breasts cut off and was beaten so severely she sustained internal injuries from which she later died while in her prison cell. She died in Zaragoza, Spain in 304. Her feast day is 13 March. St Grace is the saint of Lost Children! ****************************** What is the Society of Saint Grace? ****************************** Our mission is to bring Christ love back to the community sharing Christ's love though prayer and actions in real life, we travel around offering soft love information to draw people closer to Christ. We help people both practically when we can and spiritually offering prayer ministry both hands on or/and adding them to our pray list during our offices, We keep those that are homeless, in need and poverty close to our hearts in love praying that the Lord protect them and provides for there needs. We have a network of members that helps us with our mission, prays with us or helps us in other ways ****************************** Is Society of Saint Grace Catholic? ****************************** No. Members of the society are Anglican, Protestant and Catholic and Jewish in other words we are Christian and believe in the traditional Christian faith- We believe in the old as well as new Testament in the Bible We believe in prayers, alone and with others. We believe in good actions, as well as helping those in need and showing by example. A true Christian is a person who has put faith and trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His death on the cross as payment for sins and His resurrection on the third day. John 1:12 tells us, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4, 10). A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Jesus Christ. ****************************** Why is the Society on Second Life? ****************************** Our members are scattered in different places in the "first" life. Creating a Sim/Parcel gives them an opportunity to meet each other in a virtual way. Through Second life, we can also give others a chance to be on a sim/parcel dedicated to living as a member of the God's family. We also have a mission for children. Many children on second life are children as a second chance. Despite this, some still feels lonely and have no friends. Some even are abused mentally or sexually. This sim/parcel will give them alternative role play, in which we hope they will call home, feel safe and meet friends. Please pray for our protection and providence to carry out our work. The Brothers or Sister should strive to be recollected in prayer throughout the day as he or she moves from one particular activity to another. To facilitate this, we try to maintain silence in the Friary as much as possible as well as minimize the distractions of the outside world. Meals. Meals are at the friary. Prayers. Prayers are at the chapel or church. Meditation and special prayers can be at other parts of the sim (Beach, Gardens etc). The Liturgy is the whole Daily Office: the official public prayer of the Church as it is celebrated each day by all priests and religious, consisting mostly of the Psalms. We gather several times a day in chapel/church to sing each Office in choir. Private prayer, which does not have any particular structure or method as liturgical prayer, is also very important to the life of Brothers or Sister and all Christians. Whether it’s familiar conversation with God, formulated prayers, the recitation of the Rosary/Brevery, or just “listening” in the presence of Christ, the Brothers or Sister spends a certain amount of time each day praying silently, either during set prayer times in chapel/church or somewhere else. chores. Work is a necessary compliment to contemplative prayer at SSG. Not as a practical necessity which interrupts prayer, but as a spiritual work which accompanies prayer, or is prayer. for inmates, it is also a chance to get to know others. +++++++++ Daily Office: +++++++++ Prayer services will be held as often as possible at the following times: Monday is quiet day so no services will be held ( you may wish to do personal prayers in the chapel still) Tuesday to Friday Timezone UTC/SLT: 0000/1400: Midnight Prayer 0300/1900: Divine Mercy Chaplet 0600/2200: Angelus & Morning Prayer 1200/0400: Midday Prayer 1500/0700: Divine Mercy Chaplet 1800/1000: Angelus & Evening Prayer (Friday: Shabbat Starts) 2100/1300: Night Prayer Saturday: Timezone UTC/SLT: 0000/1400: Midnight Prayer 0300/1900: Divine Mercy Chaplet 0600/2200: Angelus & Morning Prayer 1200/0400: Midday Prayer 1500/0700: Divine Mercy Chaplet 1800/1000: Angelus & Evening Prayer (Shabbat Ends.
